This guide is created to introduce how to rip dvd and convert video on mac with only one tool.
It is called iSkysoft iMedia Converter for Mac which combines iSkysoft DVD Ripper for Mac and iSkysoft Video Converter for Mac.

Step 0: Free download iSkysoft iMedia Converter for Mac (Intel Version or Power PC Version ), install and run it.

Step 1: Click the “File” menu, choose “Load DVD” or “Add Video/Audio files” and navigate to the files you want to add.

Note:
The defaulted setting only read main feature of the DVD movie for conversion, without DVD menu and the movie just starts playing right away. If you want to import the whole DVD, go to “Preference” and unchecked “Load main title of the DVD”

Step 2: Simply click the format icon to open output format list and choose your favorite output video or audio format.

You can set the parameters or your output video or audio.

Step 3: Start DVD/Video Conversion on Mac

Tip: How to Edit your DVD/Video.

1: Crop

Move the pointer over the thumbnail of DVD or video you want to crop and choose crop from the pop-up menu. Or you can go to “Edit” menu and choose “crop”. Select an output aspect ratio and the available options are: Keep Original, Full Screen, 16:9 and 4:3. You can also drag the rectangular selection frame to set your favorite displaying area.

2: Add watermark

In “Edit” window, check “enable”. You can add image the video, or type the words in your favorite font in the text window and click enter to add text watermark. By dragging the slider left and right, you can easily change the position and the size of the watermark. Add stylish watermark to announce the authority of your movies now!

3: Merge

Drag video clips to the program, and you can change the order by simply dragging around. click the format icon to open output format list. Choose an output format, hit the “Convert” button to start conversion.

4: Capture pictures (BMP, JPG) from video

In preview window, click “Snapshot” button to capture picture from DVD or videos, Go to “iMedia Converter” menu, choose “Preference” to open the snapshot files folder or to change the snapshot files folder path or image format (JPEG, BMP).

Now you can enjoy your DVD and video on your portable devices.
